Been a while since I have done one of these, eh?
Ncuti Gatwa and Mille Gibson have been killing it in the new season of Doctor Who. As far as the actual season goes, I am not sure what the name is. But that doesn’t matter because this is Ncuti’s season and it’s on a Disney budget. And Russell T. Davies really came back to do all of this amazing stuff.
The more I see of Ncuti Gatwa, the more I love him. His doctor is both so much like the others, yet so different. It’s very easy to tell when an actor loves the franchise they’re a part of and you can really see it in the way he plays the character.
Millie Gibson and her character are such a joy to see on screen, and it really reminds me of being able to watch Rose travel with Nine for the first time. The mysteries around her are intriguing and really make me want to have all of them resolved ASAP.
The season, from what I can tell, is a great season! Eight episodes seems too short, but they seem to be doing well with the time they have. Jinkx Monsoon, Johnathon Groff, Susan Twist, Bonnie Langford, and Jemma Redgrave being in this season are also a big plus!
This season feels like a love letter to all of the seasons that came before, especially
In other news, Vivziepop and the Helluva Boss team ripped our hearts out just weeks ago and we now have to join Blitzo on the healing road to… healing. So much pain.
And in horror news, I surprisingly don’t have much. I still haven’t seen Abigail. I am hoping it happens soon, but I won’t know anything till then.
I haven’t had too much time to be into the shows and movies like usual. Work has been a really constant and consistent thing in my life, which is so amazing! But that also means, I am drained as far as media that I am obsessing over. So this post is kind of short. Oops!
