Writing Updates!

I have been having a good year so far when it comes to the general writing (this includes both writing and editing.)

As some people already know, my biggest project at the moment is a collection of nine short stories. All of the stories have varying horror adjacent themes! Some of them have been previously published (and heavily rewritten) while others are newer stories that have only been read by a handful of beta-readers. I am really happily with how the collection looks at the moment and I have plans for cover art done by a fantastic artist! And I have a author photo already taken, specifically for this collection! I am currently in the process of finding it a publishing home, and I think I found one! I am just waiting to hear back. Finger crossed! I am purposely not sharing the name yet, as I want to wait until it’s confirmed. (Though, to be honest. I know there’s at least twenty people who already know it.)

On the editing front, I have been involved with two anthologies! There was the FWG anthology, and the Night of the Howling Dead anthology! I can’t say too much on either at the moment as they are both still going through the process!

In other editing news, last month I started worked as a contracted editor with Fenris Publishing! It’s been so wonderful, and I have already had the opportunity to work on two jobs already! And I am very excited to be able to work with the company. ^_^

Now on the story front! These are the stories I have that will be coming out for public consumption soon!

1. Tip Your Damn Delivery Drivers – A rabbit goes to deliver food to a difficult group of customers amidst a pandemic (and the zombie apocolypse!) (Featured in Night of the Howling Dead)
2. The Spirit of Christmas – Lila Dusk, a doe, travels to the mountains to spend Christmas with her wife’s family at their cabin, only to be faced with the events and regrets of the Christmas prior. (Featured in Armoured Fox’s F/F Non-Erotic Anthology)
3. Nightmare at Elmwood University (The 2023 Remake) – College students come face to face with an evil entity that picks them off in their dreams. (Heavily rewrittened and featured in my upcoming collection! Originally published as “Nightmare at Elmwood College in THP’s Slashers anthology.)
4. Sacrifice – A young Arctic fox wakes up in a burning cabin to total chaos… He doesn’t remember what happened… The only things he knows are questions. Where was he? What happened? Whose blood was he covered in? (Heavily rewritten and featured in my upcoming collection! Originally published as “Horror” in the THP anthology “Awoo, Who’s This?”)
5. Shut Up! The Movie’s Starting! – Zombie Maggie just wants to enjoy her day at the movies with her best friend, when two assholes interrupt her movie-watching experience. (Previously posted on wattpad (but not anymore) under the name “Zombies Hate Theater Crashers. Heavily rewritten and featured in my upcoming collection!)
6. Zombies Hate To See You Cry – A young woman tries her best to evade undead creatures after being kicked out of her parents house. (Featured in my upcoming collection!)
7. The Manager Bites Back – Have you ever experienced an unpleasant woman in public who thought that customer service workers (and others around her) owed her something, regardless of the way she treated them? Yes. I am talking about Karens. How do you think monsters like zombies or werewolves would react to a person like that? Find out as Zombie Fox Kevin and his Werewolf Boyfriend, Dave, come face to face with one such horrifying creature. (Featured in my upcoming collection! Originally published as “Zombies (And Werewolves) Hate Karens” in THP’s The Howling Dead!)
8. Werewolf Therapy – A seemingly angry werewolf goes to a terrified therapist to get some issues off his chest. (Featured in my upcoming collection!)
9. Covet Thy Neighbor’s Garden – An elderly gardener grows jealous and curious about his young neighbor’s flourishing garden. (Featured in my upcoming collection!)
10. Ten Ways To Survive A Slasher Movie – A rather pointed article on surviving slasher movies, catches a bully off-guard as she tries to spend a cozy night watching horror films with her boyfriend. However, just as they settle down to watch… the power goes out. (Featured in my upcoming collection!)
11. Cut Short – (>:3) (Featured in my upcoming collection!)
12. Justice is Brewing – A young superhero meets his idol, and finds himself slowly falling in love with him! (Coming to the Voice of Dog podcast in December)
13. Intense Research – (18+ 18+ 18+ EXPLICIT CONTENT FEATURED) A college student interviews a vampire for a journalism assignment and finds himself getting more and more curious about just how this vampire feeds. (Possibly being released via the Voice of Dog podcast soon!)
