Checking in with the chee,

Happy August everyone! Hope everyone has been having a good summer!

I, for one, am so greatful that I no longer work in the public school system. I am, as I joked with a customer at work earlier today, “safe behind the sub-service counter.”

Speaking of work, this month marks the start of my sixth month working in the deli that I am currently working in! Five full months, soon to be sixth with how fast things are moving. It’s all very exciting, and I feel really okay about my place in the that work environment. I am a little nervous, as we’re going to be getting into the busier season, but I am sure things will be okay.

My writing work is going well! I have three stories that should be out by the end of the year, with one or two that I am focusing a lot of energy on right now. I mean, nothing I have is perfect. But I am really working hard and think I am pretty happy where I am right now with my writing skills.

Editing is going well too! I have been able to work on a few projects as part of being a contracted editor. I really am excited to be able to do work like this again, as editing as been a really exciting part of my development as a person and a writer.

One of the things I am most excited for in the coming weeks, is Megaplex! For those of you who don’t know, Megaplex is a furry convention that is held in the late summer/early fall every year in Florida. And for the last three years (2021-2023) I have had the opportunity to attend and hangout with other furries and just have a grand old time! And I plan on attending again this year! (Seriously! I have the days off approved and everything, and I am really psyched to go and see friends, and meet new people!)

As far as any other things I feel like I want to talk about, there isn’t much. I spent a day in Jensen Beach with the guys I play Pokemon with. We went there to see Deadpool and Wolverine, which was absolutely fantastic (LOL!) Seriously, with all of the jokes and the cameos. It really felt like a love letter to the Marvel movies I would watch as a kid.

I also went to Gamestop, and Spencers. I bought Deadpool and Wolverine shirts from me (and my sister) and some cool and functional pens that have swear words on them. Hehehe. (Out of the five I bought originally, two remain.)

So yeah! Between that, and my slow downward spiral into the rabbit hole of the WWE, that’s what is going on in my life at the moment.

How are you doing? You doing okay? Drinking plenty of water? ^-^ I think you’re doing so well. Keep it up!
