Hey!

Been a bit of a crazy work week for me, so the idea train hasn’t really arrived at the station yet. But I still wanted to try and get something released on the blog so that I wouldn’t lose the momentum I have been working on with posting and all that.

I am doing well, I think. Between editing and making sandwiches, I have still been able to get decent amounts of writing done. I still call this a success, even though I haven’t written any blog posts.

I am still focusing on shorter forms of fiction, though my writing has started branching into a new genre. (;D Shout out to the ones who know what I mean!) I have mentioned this before, I am sure. But I have four new short stories that should be released by the end of this year! (I should have these stories reflected on my Works Published/Online Stories pages soon.) Lots of queer stories coming from me lately. It’s definitely a positive shift in my writing.

I have been working on better marketing myself as an author, even though I don’t share my novel or anthologies around enough. But I am pretty happy with how things are going. I deleted my Twitter/X because I am not fixing to keep a presence on a platform that is being utilized to spout vicious shit. I am over on Bluesky, enjoying my life. I have been on Bluesky for about a year? Maybe more? I can’t remember the exact thing. There is so much art over there, and so many wonderful people. It’s easy to see the things I want to see and cut out the things I don’t. And there’s not an algorithm.

I updated my FurAffinity account for the first time in six years. That was fun. I don’t really have much I can do on there, but who knows. I’d love to change that one day! Maybe soon. Maybe not with like full works, but snippets for sure. I know I definitely want to post my Intense Research excerpt over there at some point, just for funsies.

I started a Ko-fi account as a little tip jar, almost. There wasn’t a particular reason for it, I just don’t have the content amount or the punctuality for a Patreon account. I am not sure what my plans are for it yet, but it looks like I could run a shop there. Maybe I will utilize that in the future for books and things! ^-^ Only time will tell. I’m going to take things one step at a time. If I do too much too fast, I will fumble the bag. (That is what they say right?)

As far as my job at the big supermarket chain in Florida (and other states,) everything is going smoothly. I am a bit nervous about the start of snowbird season, as my coworkers have assured me that they will eat me alive. Yikes. I may go off on a customer in the coming months if they try to sass me. Scribbles is nice and sweet. Customer Service Vinnie is nice and sweet. But my face is very expressive, especially when I am being disrespected. I hope I do not have to deal with any rude customers.

Yeah. That’s how things are going. This post is being written right before I am going to post it. Right now, I am waiting to see if work calls me in for a Wednesday closing shift. Because I need to be busy. Heh.
