Welcome, everyone, to the first day of the month of October! To some, Happy Halloween Month! To others, Happy Almost Christmas! And to my target audience, Happy Furry Book Month, y’all!

That’s right! It’s furry book month! While every time of the year is a good time to show furry authors that you love them and thier content, October is the official month for furry books!

I have shared some of my favorite furry books before in multiple posts before. But my interests won’t be the same as other people’s interests. And there are so many furry books out there, by marvelous authors.

Furry authors, publishers, and the Furry Writer’s Guild have plans and promotions set up for a wonderful month of furry fiction enjoyment.

One of these things is something to do instead of the problematic website where you can write a novel in thirty days. The Furry Novel Jam! Thirty-one days of furry writing, trying to reach any goals you set for yourself. At the time, I don’t have a personal goal/story yet. I am sure I can change that eventually. For those looking for more info, the guidelines can be found here! But the fun thing about this, is it can be self-driven! So, write what you can, and know that you did something fantastic!

They also have a page with links to some wonderful books based on whatever categories you’re interested in! A suggested reading list, if you will! ;D

Publishers and authors also have their own promotions that will be going on for the whole month! I obviously don’t know every single one that will have something going on; but if you follow me on Bluesky or Mastadon, I will be sharing what I can!

And! Just because the word “Book” is in the title, doesn’t mean that you have to limit your furry word consumption to just physical books! No no no! Books are nice, don’t get me wrong! But there are wonderful writers who have published their content online! One of these places — you know where I am going — Voice Of Dog! You can’t go wrong with the furry authors there and the wonderful voices that bring these stories to life! The Voice of Dog! And it’s sporting a new look, where you can look for certain authors/stories based on categories! Isn’t that so cool? (Thank Sol Harries, Rob, and that entire amazing crew over there for such a wonderful collective!) They also have their Ghost of Dog month starting! (Keep an eye out for a fun little spicy piece from Scribbles Monhagen on October 9th and 10th ;3)

So, consume furry content! Buy furry books! Write furry content! It’s Furry Book Month! What else are you going to do? Watch scary movies? I mean… maybe I might? That’s not everyone’s thing, I know.

I am definitely going to try and write something! And read! The top of my to-be-read pile is Utunu’s Far Flung! Psionic fennecs! 😀 And before I forget to plug my own work, you guys know where to find all my links! 😉 Read my stories!

What are you reading this month? Let me know! 😀
