Hello all! The birthday month is here, and I have been up to some fun stuff over the last two weeks. With the Indiana trip, a furry picnic with friends, and some good time with friends, I am back with a renewed source of energy, positivity, and lingering unhappiness with where my life is. Yes. Those are all contradicting concepts. No, I am not going to change it, I am too damn tired.
But in all seriousness, things are looking up for me (personally) as we move forward into the month of March. At this time last year, I was taking part in my first week as a deli employee at my current place of employment. It’s been a busy year, and if you think I am exaggerating just know it took me a little over a week to actually write this entire post.
What can I say? If procrastination was a contest, I would be a winner. I’ll definitely have to sign up for it in the near future. Not right now though. I have a blog post to write.
General update on the blog, I am going to ease up a bit on the blog writing. Not because of anything specific, I am just opening up my time for other things like the novel rewrite, editing work for Fenris, and catching up on my TBR pile. Plus, (as I said before) my birthday is in three days!
Speaking of my TBR pile, I recently finished reading “Far Flung” by my friend Utunu, and I cannot reccomend this book enough! It’s such a great story with just as much of an emotional tug as his previous book, “Rafts.” (I will be writing a review on Goodreads eventually for it, I just need to remember my login.) This book is elligible for the Coyotl awards and has been nominated for The Ursa Major awards. (Edit: I misread the site. Nominations for the 2024 Ursas are not out yet. Oops!) So if you can throw nominations and votes in for Utunu and “Far Flung” please do!
Because my self-control is very bad, I have added three new books to my TBR pile. And this impulsive spending is all thanks to the new movie trailer for “Clown in a Cornfield.” This trailer is for a movie that is based on the first in a trilogy of horror novels from author Adam Cesare. Now, clowns in real life aren’t too bad (aside from the ones that just decided to just randomly start showing up a few years back. So, naturally, I am looking to change my outlook on clowns by reading a trilogy about a murder clown named Frendo! What can go wrong? I am excited for this movie, and I am currently four chapters in to the first book, so we will see how this goes.
I went to a furry picnic for the 2025 Megaplex year! I met up with some of my friends in the nice… Florida Spring sun. I got a lot of fun pictures and played some games. There were a lot of cool looking furries, pups, and a butterfly that kept landing on people! (I have pictures! I just haven’t posted them yet.)
I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful March! And I hope to have more writing for you in the next coming months (maybe some more stories!)
Till next time!
