Hey everyone! Happy May! May the Fourth Be With You whenever it comes about. I know it’s not here just yet at the time of me writing and posting this, but for some reason I always forget to tell people that on the actual day of May 4th. So, I am doing it right now!
As you’ve probably guessed, my attention has been mostly with my work for the past few weeks. Two posts in March, and (I think) only one post in April. It may look like I am kind of dropping the ball a bit. But in reality, I have been just picking my priorities a bit.
I love blogging, but when it comes to my spare time (i.e when I am not working in some capacity), I have been more concerned with my writing and getting more words onto these empty word documents. That being said, I do want to give some small updates on my life and how things are going for me.
Firstly, as you’re aware, my anthology “The Howling Dead Vol. 2” has released with Fenris Publishing. If you would like to purchase a physical copy of it, please buy it from the link above (or click here to purchase the digital copy.) I am incredibly proud of this group of writers, and the stories they wrote. I also wrote for this anthology. My story is called “Tip Your Damn Delivery Drivers” and features an overworked rabbit who works in the midst of the zombie apocolypse and a worldwide pandemic who has to deliver food to a group of rich kids who have a horrible history of withholding tips. (There really is a small theme of “Screw the Rich” in this anthology, and I think it’s beautiful.)
But yeah! Please purchase a copy and give it a read! And if you have already, and you want to support the authors there are a few things you can do to help us out! Follow our socials and check out our other work! I am pretty sure that a majority of the folks in this anthology left their links in their About The Authors section. Share the anthology links with anyone you think may like it! And of course, most importantly, consider writing a review of the anthology! I know I’d love to see and hear how people are liking the anthology.
Secondly, I have been slowly infecting the other departments within my story with my presence! In the last month, I have started working in the Pharmacy and Customer Service. It’s been giving me more steady hours, and it’s been really nice to learn new things. I feel like I have been gaining more joy when it comes to doing the classic 9-5 shtick of working a customer service job. I’ll keep you all updated on my progress in this endeavor, and maybe… Maybe we’ll see a slight shift in employment for this little chee. Who knows? Not me! All I know how to do is Eat Hot Chip and Write!
Thirdly, this little chee finished a new story. It is another more adult aligned work. And one I am really proud of. It’s more sweet than it is spicy. Like a good sweet chili sauce. It’s currently off with beta-readers, so it may be a little while before I release it. But I am mulling over what I should do with it. It’s not for an anthology, or it’s not for one yet. If anyone has any ideas or platforms they think I should use to put this new story out, let me know!
And as far as personal updates, that’s all on my end.
I did want to make a special reminder about RHO IOTA PHI. If you are interested in writing for Rho Iota Phi and you are not in the group chat, message me on any social media platforms! I will ask you some questions, then add you to the group!
Good night everybody!
